Inform Tale is a collection of 14 new brief stories by Jeffrey Archer on the St. Martin's Press imprint. I usually try to avoid comparisons in my reviews, but the book is filled with well written, twist endings which reminded me a lot of Saki or O. Henry. They're engaging and extremely well written.
Two of the entries are in the challenging 'ultra short' 100 word class and the two are winners. Among these first and last bookend 100 word reports are a mixed carrier of modern and period pieces, whimsical plus more serious pieces.

All of the stories in this collection are very well over the average. They're all very legible and engaging. Mr. Archer has a long and distinguished career writing good solid readable books for a big audience. This collection is a worthy addition to his oeuvre.

I enjoyed each of the stories, but Who Murdered the Mayor, A Gentleman and a Scholar, and The Senior Vice President really stood out for me personally. The fact that it was difficult for me personally to choose only about three to highlight, speaks to the general quality of the collection and the writing.

Four and a half stars
Disclosure: I received an ARC at no cost from the author/publisher., Getting read almost all of Jeffrey Archer’s considerable body of work, I think it is fair to say We are a enthusiast. Ever since I became available " As the Crow Flies" nearly 30 years ago, I’ve sought him or her out and sometimes read his new stuff just as soon as it comes out there. And so it was with great anticipation that I uncovered merely a couple of days ago that he or she had this new brief story collection now available.

When i thoroughly enjoy Archer’s novels, I think his short story writing is even better and absolutely among the very best in existence. They may be addicting…like eating potato chips. You can’t read just one Jeffrey Archer short story without diving into the next. They are often simple stories of folks who have a certain genuineness about them and thus highly relatable for most readers.

This specific collection contains 13 reports, every one of them well crafted, clever and stimulating. There is a wide variety of stories to be found among the collection, including historical settings, twist endings, very short (100 words) to quite long. The ultimate story is really the first 4 chapters of Archer’s forth-coming novel. And finally, as has been Archer’s behavior in recent collections, several of the tales are dependent on actual stories the author has encountered during his travels.

That, this is a great collection and can please Archer’s many fans and can also act as a nice access for those looking to sample his material. Extremely Recommended.

Stories by Jeffrey Archer are such a treat, rewarding someone with intelligent, interesting writing and clever twists worthy of Saki. Just when We think I know there is no benefits coming, there’s an unexpected turn, a literary tool coaster. I’ve loved Archer’s work since a good friend introduced me to “A Twist in the Story, ” which new collection continues delightfully. I wanted to choose a favorite, but couldn’t... perhaps “The Car Park Attendant, ” or maybe the hitchhiker, or the bank manager, or “Who Killed the Mayor? ”... no, too hard to choose a favorite, all were just too delightful. The only disappointment was in finding myself at the ending of the guide, looking for more: good stuff do come to an end, but one can savor the memories., We have loved Jeffrey Archer's work for years and this variety of short stories was simply delightful. The writing is sharp and succinct and I loved the little twists at the ending of each tale. Even in such a brief format, the characters are vivid and the story complete.

My personal favorite story was A Wasted Hour with it's wonderful twist in the last sentence. A new Road to Damascus had a positively chilling ending. Each story in this collection is gem

Archer is still a master story-teller!, Tell Tail was my first book by Jeffrey Archer and We intend on reading more. We like short stories and these were highly entertaining. The author gave his stories some unique story twists and endings.

Right now that I've uncovered how well written his brief stories are, I'm ready for a full length novel by the creator! Would recommend this guide.

* I was provided an ARC to read from the publisher and NetGalley. It was my decision to read and review this book., We are a great fan of Jeffrey Archer and believe him or her to be a fantastic tale teller. I have found his short stories to be well done with great twists and becomes reminiscent of Roald Dahl. I was eager to check out this one because of my past experience with his short stories and nearly all of the stories did not disappoint we were holding well crafted and quite pleasurable with surprise twists and turns. Some however were quite predictable rather than up to his usual requirements., Jeffrey Archer is a favorite author. I like his lengthy series Typically the Clifton Chronicles. Tell Story is a collection of short stories, so the creator has not the ability to write in level for each and every story., and I overlook that. As it is, his collection is good. I did find personally putting the book down for a while, but I came back to it. The last tale was my favorite.
Thanks, NetGalley for the ARC., Absolutely fantastic. An unexpected twist to the ending of each tale in this book. We loved it. Well written and extremely engaging from the first tale. Highly recommend.
