I actually tried the lower calorie quality recipes as I'm trying to loose weight. The quality recipes that I made were:

Corn & red pepper chowder (delicious & I actually added chicken)

Corn & potato chowder (delicious)

Cuban style pork street tacos (delicious) with black veggie & corn salad (delicious)

Caritas with avocafo, cilantro & queso fresco (delicious) with cilantro rice pilaf (delicious)

Simple salad (delicious) I added chicken breast

Southwestern Rice Casserole dI'd not like this one at all. The ride turned into mush.

I'm pleased with nearly all of the recipes & will continue to use this book for dinners., This is a great book. I'm very fired up to start out making recipes from it. The book is filled with full color pictures. It starts with the creators personal experience with by using a slow cooker. I discovered the benefits of by using a sluggish cooker. There's tons of slow cooker recipes away there but this book is all about health conscious slow cooker meals. This guide taught me a great deal which i didnt know, like:
-rules for by using a slow cooker securely
- how to choose a sluggish cooker
-Tips and Tricks
I learned about the health benefits of by using a slow cooking food, like:
-It doesn't require adding excess fat to keep food from sticking
-It accentuates herb flavors, which means you don't need to add as much salt
-low temperature cooking food reduces nutrient loss
The book is filled with tons of recipes, and not just the one pot dinners you expect to make in a slow cooker, but Breakfasts and Brunches like Pear chai spiced oats and strawberry cream mozzarella cheese French toast, Soups and Stews like Rosemary Parsnip bisque with toasted loaf of bread crumbs and red curry butternut squash soup, Vegan and Vegan dishes like spinach mushroom and Switzerland cheese crustless quiche, Pig and Poultry, like chicken breast pot pie, beef and lamb like Korean style short ribs and carrots, grains and pasta, like jalapeno Bachmann cheese and quick and easy attributes like fluffy butternut cookies. All of us love our slow pot and it is perfect for busy days, however they can make such large portion. This book helps to solve that problem. While you can find the go to soups that a lot of slow cooker books have, we really enjoyed the Ground Beef Stuffed Peppers for something a little different. I am looking forward to trying the Beef and Broccoli soon. There are 100 quality recipes from Breakfast to Simple sides and they are all healthy and even include the calories and other nutritional information for every single one. This makes it so much easier when I am trying to keep track of my calories., Delicious recipes and very low sodium great purchase, Pretty pictures. Couple of recipes I would use., Gift for someone more., I love using it, This is packed with easy to understand tips on cooking in a sluggish cooker. Great recipes!!!
