I aren't say enough how very much I loved this ultimate installment within the Edge Sequence. It has been this kind of incredible and emotional street for all these figures, and i also am very unhappy to say goodbye. *tries not to get emotional*
It has been genuinely wonderful following Emily (Butler) Petrov, I just love the woman last name *winks* upon her skating and Olympic journey. She is genuinely a character to appreciate for her strong nature, determination, compassion, and belief. Through out the whole series I saw Emily grow as a possible individual, yet in this installment I really got to see the wonderful woman the lady has become.
There are not necessarily enough words to explain simply how much I adore Sergei. Any woman would be lucky to have him, only if he had been real *sighs*. His unwavering love, and devotion with regard to Emily is beyond incredible, particularly with the Emily's unpredicted news. There were a couple of times during this reading I has been tearing up seeing exactly how much he treasures the woman.
" You have never ever looked more beautiful, " he said with a soft glow in his eye. " And you usually are just as strong as an individual are beautiful. " ~ Sergei to Emily
I enjoyed getting Aubrey's history as well. She has this funny, and spunky personality that makes smile and is this kind of great friend to Emily. Actually though we see this bright and bubbly lady the majority of the time, right now there is a hidden despair that comes through any time dealing with her broken family members. I would like to give the woman a major hug, but luckily that is what Philip is there for. These two are absolutely great together, and the gradual development from friendship to love was obviously a perfect pace, a perfect match.
She arrived at up and possess him a feathery kiss. " Might made me a who trust. "
" In what? "
She wrapped her arms around him and kissed him again. " Everything. " ~ Aubrey and Chris
Jennifer has wrapped up this series beautifully and I could not have called for a much better ending., This book was just like getting up with old buddies. It is the third in a series and while it can be go through as a stand alone it is better enjoyed as part of the whole. I was very happy with where the series concludes. This series will be for those that just like their heros without a lots of edges. Jennifer Comeaux's heros tend to lean more towards being beta heros versus alpha men which I really value. Her heros are genuinely good guys who benefit women and see these people in respectful ways not necessarily how they can use them and what they can get from them.
This specific book expands the narrative by incorporating Aubrey's stage of view. I actually enjoyed this for numerous reasons. For instance it retained Emily and Sergei through having to generate just about all the tension in the story. Since the previous two stories have been simply that it was great they weren't thrown entirely from the wringer. It likewise gives us a second story that is a relationship at the flourishing stage instead of on straight down the road. There will be always something special regarding love just as it starts. The third reason I enjoyed the expanded see point is the fact that we get to see Emily's ice skating partner Chris even even more close up and personal. I adored him. He will be a truly lovable leading man.
What we get along with Emily and Segei's history is actually a look into their relationship since it will be a few years directly into marriage. Most of the issues they have to be able to address tend towards all those that are natural to be able to where they are in their marriage and at this time in their lives (such as making judgements regarding what direction they would like to take now of which Emily's career as a professional skater is almost to its conclusion. ) No spoilers here yet I will say of which the direction Jennifer Comeaux takes their story has been enjoyable. One plot range has been a little implausible yet I enjoyed the location none the less.
I absolutely adored Chris like a hero. I need to admit up from that Aubrey obtained in the nerves at occasions. She is some of those heroines with a tendency to be a runner/avoider when problems appear her way. Case in point, she runs through love due to watching the problems in her parent's marriage. That particular characteristic is one which always gets on my nerves so it isn't a fault in the story, only a personal issue. Aubrey does appear across as realistic yet she reminds me of those friends you could have developing up that could be self defeating. You would like them to get that together nevertheless they frustrate an individual immensely along the way. She will be never unlikable, though, simply no matter how many blunder she makes, which will be key. Also, since the woman story is just not the simply source of angst/tension in the book it keeps her do it yourself defeating ways from getting over bearing the way they would if the book experienced been solely centered on the woman.
Chris is awesome. I really like adorkable guys and Philip is one. He has a fun, silly sense of humor. He does not take himself too seriously which I love in a real life guy, very much less a book leading man. He could be steady and a rock for everyone around him and always considers the feelings and what will be best for everyone before himself. Seriously, the person is great. He will certainly go down as 1 of my favorite book heros. You can't help but cheer for Aubrey to obtain it together so this guy can get his HEA.
Great conclusion to the series. I will only hope that Jennifer decides to continue this world with some companion publications that give us glimpses on all these aged characters we love while bringing us the reports of some of the side characters I am curious about., This will be this kind of improvement from the first book, and that wrapped up their history neatly.
I was incredibly grateful to Jennifer with regard to writing a separate really like story instead of putting Emily and Sergei into the same relational drama again--and I enjoyed the various factors of Aubrey/Chris' relationship.
I am really glad I selected up this series plus I will try plus hold off on the Ice series so I don't go out of these types of ice skating stories before she writes another.
